Sunshine… through the Shade Net?

It’s a bit sad to realise that after… six days of photographing ‘Aspects of My Life,’ I’m running out of material.

To counter this, my lens ventured a bit further afield and I sort of tried to capture movement – you know that blurred effect?  I tried to capture cars going passed while sitting at a robot (that’s what we call traffic lights in South Africa).  I wasn’t very successful.  :-(   I realised I haven’t quite gotten to grips with this aperture concept yet but, on the up side, I can identify where the problem lies and rectify it.

So, I took photos in the car, and also a photo of a pine tree that actually looked like a Christmas tree, with lights.  And of our street in surburbia because the trees are all green and pretty – yayz to early summer.

And then I noticed one of the things I have noticed every year at this time – the carport.  Because of the sun’s angle and the colour of the shade net, when we come home every evening, there is a really stunning glow coming through into the carport.

Well, I finally took that photograph I have always promised myself I will take.

Voila!  I didn’t realise I still have so much to learn – getting the balance right tonight was a bit of a mission.
